Someone asked me for more information on the ‘Omran’ (wounded boy in Aleppo) story, so I am sharing here some relevant detail and sources on both the victims of this war and on Aleppo’s 4,000+ doctors who have remained ‘invisible’ to the western media.

The infamous Omran photo (wounded boy in an orange seat) was staged by 'media activist' Mahmoud Rslan, who is closely associated with al Zinki, the terrorist group that beheaded a 12 year old Palestinian child. Follow up stories, including reports that Omran had returned to his family but that his brother had died, were put out by notorious Australian-Egyptian al Qaeda leader Mostafa Mahammed (aka Mahamed Farag). As to whether little Omran was actually wounded, who knows? There is a good chance he is a family member of the al Qaeda fighters, and they are all exposed to Syrian and Russian attacks.
But there is no doubt the Omran picture was part of a larger al Qaeda war propaganda media manipulation, which is being happily swallowed by the western corporate media. They have generally acted as though most of the people of Aleppo (including doctors and wounded children) do not exist.
